Privacy Policy

Account data: name, email, and a hashed password.
Activity: conferences you bookmark, mark as attending, and reviews you post.
Technical: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) and product analytics via PostHog.

To operate the service: authenticate you, personalize recommendations, count attendees, display your reviews, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.

When you use the AI Concierge or paper summarization, your query is sent to our LLM provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) for processing. Providers may temporarily process the data per their policies but do not train their models on your queries.

We use a JWT auth token stored in your browser. Analytics cookies are set by PostHog for usage measurement. You can clear these from your browser settings at any time.

We share data only with: our hosting provider (Emergent / Kubernetes), our LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI), our analytics provider (PostHog), and as required by law.

You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@conferencely.org. EU users have additional rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection).

Account data is retained while your account is active. Anonymized analytics may be retained longer. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Symposia is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from them.
